It's been one whole week since we moved into our home in South Florida, and we're already fully enjoying the area and all it has to offer.
Tray and I had a date afternoon on Friday and called it an early night. We’ve both been so exhausted this past week after the move. I’ve been up to my eyeballs in unloading our boxes. Plus, we’ve had a general contractor, an electrician, plumber, and HVAC contractors at the house all week to either fix or get quotes for projects we want to do.
So, we needed an afternoon out together. We started with a manicure/pedicure date. Tray just got a pedicure then ran a few returns back to UPS. We also had a quick lunch at Tijuana Flats (IYKYK). Then we popped up to Palm Beach because I wanted to see if Aerin had their limited edition Sarah Bray sun hats in yet (P.S. not in yet). I also wanted to stop in Hermรจs and pick up a lipstick I’m now addicted toโshade 16 beige tadelakt if you’re interested. It’s the best neutral shade if you have a tan. It is by far the most expensive lipstick I’ve ever purchased, but it is that good.
We did a quick dinner at The Honor Bar at Royal Poinciana Plaza. Season is slowing down because we walked in at 6:30 and immediately sat down in a cozy corner booth. The French dip and the tuna burger are must orders!
We devoted Saturday to all the errands. We started with breakfast at The Diner in Boynton Beach (so good). We did more UPS returns and a Best Buy pick up. Then we did a quick Trader Joe’s run and finished errands at Costco where we purchased three new toilets for the house. Oh, the life of home ownership! We grilled hot dogs at home and swam in the pool to end the night.
Tray originally had tickets for the Formula 1 race in Miami on Sunday, but after such a long week he decided to sell his ticket. He decided to see Dr. Strange instead. So, we had breakfast at 2nd Street Bagels and Deli, walked around Mizner Park, and then he went to the movie while I meandered around the area a bit.
Most of the Mizner Park stores are closed on Sundays, but I did walk through Sur la Table and saw some really cute margarita glasses and daiquiri glasses and a really cute taco stand platter.
We finished our Sunday with cheeseburgers off the grill and a swim. We have quickly adjusted to having a pool in our backyard.
4 Things Iโm Loving

Roller Rabbit cotton silk pjs: I picked up a pair of the Amanda LuLu shorts set at the Palm Beach store, and I’m obsessed. These pajamas are even softer than the Cambria cotton sets I have.
Plastic food storage containers: I finally converted all our dry goods into clear food storage containers this week, and even Tray asked why we hadn’t made the transition sooner. Our food stays fresher, longer, and we can see exactly how much we have left of something. Plus, I swear the food storage containers take up less room in our pantry than the original packaging. I use the larger set for flour and sugar, and I have our pasta, snacks, and granola in these plastic storage containers.
Bath pillow: Now that we have a large soaking tub in our primary bathroom, I purchased a bath pillow to make the tub more comfortable. The bath pillow I chose has more than 6,000 reviews and a 4.5- out of 5-star rating.
St. Tropez self-tanning mousse: I tried Loving tan self-tanner, but in the long run it wasn’t dark enough for my skin tone, and I purchased the dark shade. So, I tried the St. Tropez self-tanning mousse this week and even Tray commented about how good it looked. So, I’m definitely counting that as a win!
