Walt Disney World’s Swan Reserve is a Marriott A

Walt Disney World’s Swan Reserve is a Marriott Autograph collection property.

We used one of our Titanium free room upgrades, and were moved into a Signature King Suite with an Epcot view.

The room was extremely spacious and nicely decorated. We had a full dining room table, dry bar area with a mini fridge and coffee station, and a full size couch and arm chair in the main room. Our full size bedroom had a king size bed, two bedside tables, a full dresser with 6 drawers, two closets, and a desk area. Two doors connected the bedroom to a full bath with a large sink area and large shower. A pocket door then connected the main bath to a 1/2 bath. A second pocket door then connected the 1/2 bath back to the main room by the dining table.

We had an amazing view of the Epcot fireworks at 9pm and the light show on the Epcot ball.

The Swan Reserve lobby bar had an amazing meat board, flatbreads, as well as wine and cocktail list. We also enjoyed the coffee shop and pantry on the lobby level.

With a stay at the Swan Reserve, you have access to both Swan and Dolphin pools and boat transportation to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, as well as the pool and fitness center at the Swan Reserve. This was a fantastic perk. We really enjoyed the pool area at the Dolphin hotel.

With your stay at the Swan Reserve, you can receive $30 off a $200 or more service at the Mandara Spa, which is located inside the Dolphin hotel. If you’re a Marriott Elite member, you can also enjoy the Mandara relaxation areas, changing rooms, and showers at no additional charge.

Take a tour of our Verandah stateroom on the Disney Wish.

We chose a stateroom on the 10th floor and toward the Forward of the ship. Which I loved! The spa was also on the Forward of the boat, so I’d just take the elevator down 5 floors and immediately found myself in the spa.

We were also only one floor down from the pool and quick dining options, which was really convenient because we took the stairs instead of piling on the elevator.

Our room location was great! We were far enough away from the elevator and stairs that we heard no noise, but close enough that it wasn’t a far walk to reach them. And because we were at the front of the boat, the hallway came to a dead-end just past our door, so we didn’t have any foot traffic during the day or night. It was the quietest spot I’ve ever had on a boat 🧘‍♀️

We loved our stateroom! It was plenty big for the two of us, and the verandah was a nice size. The separate bathrooms were a dream! One had a sink and toilet and the other had a shower/tub and sink.

Due to European construction, there are no outlets in the bathrooms, but the built-in unit in the bedroom had a gorgeous area to get ready, with a built in mirror light and plenty of outlets.

One thing to note: Dyson blow dryers and Airwraps won’t work on the boat due to European voltage that was used. So you’ll want to bring your own travel blow dryer or use the one that is provided in the room. I had no issues with my T3 curling iron though.

Also to note, one side of the bed has American outlets and the other side has a European outlet, so if you and your travel partner both want to have devices charging on your bedside tables, bring at least one European outlet converter.

MAYhem is over, y’all! 🥳

I just looked back at my calendar and totaled the number of days I was home this month. 13!!

My motto for the month of May was “Do something your future self will thank you for.”

So, I ordered birthday gifts early, had groceries delivered, treated myself to a 30-day free trial of Sephora’s same-day delivery service, sent our laundry out, and had our house cleaned and all sheets changed on the beds.

Doing those things really lightened my load once we got back from vacation, too!

We did the 4-night cruise from Port Canaveral to Nassau, Disney’s Castaway Cay, and a day at sea.

It was so nice to disconnect for the week and check off a bucket list item from our travel list as a couple, but also the extras really added up 💰. Whew!

I’m not so sure it was worth it! The same total amount we spent on the cruise would also have gotten us a pretty luxurious trip somewhere that gave us more flexibility and control of our daily schedule.

For our last night onboard, I pulled out my sequin

For our last night onboard, I pulled out my sequins for a nod to Old Hollywood since we dined in the 1923 dining room on the Disney Wish.

1923 has the best menu of all the rotational dining rooms on the Disney Wish, and is definitely not one to skip!

We ordered the ahi tuna, corn chowder, petite filets with mashed potatoes (not pictured because it was so good we both dug right in), the Hollywood Hills brownie sundae, and churros. And our entire meal was exceptional!

Tray actually had to leave dinner early to make a reserve bourbon tasting, and our waitstaff made sure to get our dinners in ahead of everyone else’s so we could still enjoy dinner, and they made a to-go plate of fresh churros for me to take back to him! They really went above and beyond for us.

The menus from the other two rotation dining rooms were not nearly as good as 1923.

I’ll be sharing a full review this week of the food we had onboard, lessons we learned, and what we’d do different (and the same) next time.
